Unit II Blue Phoenix took
the lead that fiercely crushed four units in the battle for the championship
title during the 2011 Intramural Meet on September 5-7.
“Blazing
the Path towards Excellence through Sports and Culture” was the theme of this
year’s Intrams which aims to measure, enhance and develop the talents, skills
and competencies of every CHMSCians.
Unit
I Blua Knights was hailed as the First Runner Up and Unit IV Green Dragons as
the Second Runner Up based on the over-all results released last September 9 at
around 4:30 pm.
Screams and yells veiled the confines of the
college field as well as the gym as they compete in various sports events that made
the spectators jumped off their seats. The following events were football,
volleyball, basketball, softball, swimming, badminton, sepak takraw, taekwondo
and athletics.
The following were the cultural and academic
events: literary, musical dance, visual arts and search for Mr and Ms CHMSC
2011.
Meanwhile, Dr. Antonio Deraja, Director of
the Office of Students Affairs (OSA) gave his message which was followed by the
cheer dance competition. The Unit III Flaming Warriors took the lead as the
champion followed by the Unit V Blazers – First Runner Up and the Unit II –
Second Runner Up.
In the athletic events, Unit IV was hailed as
the champion, Unit I as the First Runner Up and Unit II Second Runner Up,
Followed by Unit IV then Unit III.
On the other hand, the Unit II was hailed as
the Champion in the cultural event, Unit V – First Runner Up, Unit I - Second Runner Up.
Wednesday night became more than just a dream
when Mr and MS CHMSC, Nicco Javier BSCE First Year and Patricia Ann Reconquista
BSHRM-1B yanked on stage marked the successful closing of the three-day
Intramurals.
